Allenby is a popular residential area located north of Eglinton Ave, between Avenue Rd and just west of Castelwood Rd. It is particularly popular amongst families due not only to its proximity to great schools, but also for its convenient TTC access, to prime shopping areas and recreational amenitites. It is a great neighbourhood with lots of green space, manicured lawns and beautiful homes.
Allenby is a highly coveted neighbourhoods that has many homebuyers seeking the family-friendly feel that this Uptown area is known for. It is largely comprised of relatively spacious single-family detached homes, although it also has a variety of bungalow and semi-detached options. The majority of lots in the area are generally 23-33 feet wide, although a number of large lots, 50+ feet, can be found at the north end of the neighbourhood, featuring large, executive homes. Most of the original housing consists of Tutor style homes, and this neighbourhood character has been retained by renovators in recent years. While many homes have undergone renovations by new owners, designers have worked to retain the original wood detail and decorative accents on many properties.

Being a highly sought out neighbourhood, Allenby not only features excellent schools but is also home to vibrant shopping, plenty of restaurants, and TTC access. Eglinton Avenue West is home to many retails stores, boutique shops, small artisan grocers, and services geared towards families. Close proximity to the rapidly developing Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood offers even more dining and shopping options, while still being mildly removed from the bustle of this expanding neighbourhood.
There is plenty of green-space both within and near Allenby. The Beltline Trail offers more than 7 kilometres of walking trails that wind through the central region of the city. These tree-covered trails offer a tranquil space to stroll, jog or cycle around and to nearby neighbourhoods.
The Allebyneighbourhood is largely coveted due to the closeness of a number of excellent schools. These include: North Toronto Collegiate Institute and Glenview Snior Public School.

Commuters have easy access to public transit, the downtown core, and major expressways.
Bus routed on Eglinton Ave and Avenue Rd both connect to Eglinton Station on the Yonge-University subway line within a couple minutes.
Motarists can easily access the Allen Expressway, which feeds into Highway 401, within 10 minutes, while Avenue Rd provides relatively easy driving to downtown within 15-20 minutes.
